Shipping Policy – Marché Noir

This shipping policy applies to all orders placed through the Shopify webshop of Marché Noir, based in Belgium. By placing an order, the customer agrees to this shipping policy.


1. Order Processing

  • All orders are processed within 1 to 5 business days, unless stated otherwise.
  • Orders are not processed or shipped on Sundays or public holidays.
  • During busy periods (sales, drops, holidays), processing times may be longer. Marché Noir cannot be held liable for such delays.

2. Shipping

  • Marché Noir ships only to countries that are available during checkout.
  • Shipping is carried out via external shipping partners (such as bpost or other courier services).
  • Once an order has been shipped, the customer will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information (if available).

3. Delivery Times

  • All stated delivery times are indicative only and not binding.
  • Delays caused by the carrier, customs, weather conditions, or other external factors are beyond the responsibility of Marché Noir.
  • Exceeding a delivery timeframe does not entitle the customer to cancellation, compensation, or a refund.

4. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are clearly displayed during checkout.
  • Any import duties, taxes, or customs fees are entirely the responsibility of the customer.

5. Loss, Theft, and Damage During Transit

  • Marché Noir is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to parcels once they have been handed over to the shipping carrier.
  • In the event of a lost or delayed package, the customer must contact the carrier directly using the provided tracking information.
  • Marché Noir is not obliged to refund or reship orders that are lost during transit.

6. Incorrect or Incomplete Address Information

  • The customer is responsible for providing correct and complete shipping information.
  • Marché Noir is not liable for delays, loss, or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details.
  • Any costs related to reshipping are entirely at the customer’s expense.

7. Uncollected or Refused Parcels

  • If a parcel is not collected from a pickup point or is refused by the customer, Marché Noir is not obliged to issue a refund.
  • Any costs arising from such situations may be charged to the customer.

8. Second-Hand Clothing

  • Marché Noir exclusively sells second-hand clothing.
  • Minor signs of wear or imperfections are inherent to second-hand items and cannot be considered grounds for shipping or delivery complaints.

9. Force Majeure

  • Marché Noir shall not be held liable for failure to fulfill its obligations due to force majeure, including but not limited to strikes, pandemics, natural disasters, government measures, or issues with shipping carriers.
